Thumbs up New Mod Map for IL2

Well done grecobd. This new map will take the pressure off all of us (and Oleg and his team) while we eagerly wait for BOB-SOW.
The pics look great - a lot of work has gone into this map, it will very nicely 'round-off' the IL2 Sturmovik phenomenon. When do think it will be released? - in Oleg's final 4.09?
I will be looking forward to re-doing quite a few of my campaigns to incorporate this map for the historical accuracy.

This map would be cool, but the Slovakia map is already done. We have the summer map and the winter is finished as well (and looks absolutely stunning I might add). We merely have to get the final 4.09 along with the dedicated server software to be able to properly use it and that simply isn't going to happen any time soon...sadly.

Nonetheless, there are many good things to come from Oleg's dialog yesterday not the least of which is:

1. BoB:SoW is alive and well

2. All those folks pining for 1:c to "just give us something", can be quiet for a few more months (they won't, but they should).

3. Everyone riding the fence regarding a new PC build can do some minor upgrades if necessary and ride their current rig for another 6-9 months easily.

I'm appreciative for the update.

I'm afraid this beautiful map is a MOD developed to work along the AAA mod, not an official one developed under 1c liscense.

certainly the map of slovakia is very good, but until it is launched the 4.09 server I did not install, because currently i only play online at warbirdsofprey server....About updates i liked most to read the answers of oleg maddox than the images Because they do not present anything new, only pictures of models like its olds, but it is always nice to see something and get an idea of when the SOW will be launched. As I understand it will be in the summer of 2009 or a little later

Well, what are the chances that Oleg will allow a full blown channel map for IL2 in the 4.09 patch when doing BoB himself? Anyone thinks it will snow in hell some day soon?

Am I right or wrong in assuming that the 4.09 up-date (whenever its ready) will render many of the mods un-usable (or will be imposable to install over a modded game)???

Having looked through many the screenshots at the 352 site I must say it's a great waste of human resources that Oleg and these guys don't team up doing the SoW:BoB map instead...

Imagine the effort of doing a map like that, looking up old maps and images and just doing the country side in between... There are two teams doing the same work right now!
