Default PC Advice please?

Hey all, I'm no PC guru, want to get a new PC, and need some advice.

Currently I am unable to load missions with more than 8 or so planes in it, due to the mission simply not loading, the game crashing and/or locking up.

Just curious if anyone has a system similar that has the game running without crashing, locking up, etc,..,.?

ASUS 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770
16GB of DDR3-1600MHz RAM
3TB hard drive, 128GB solid state drive
AMD HD 7770 discrete graphics
ASUS Smart cooling system

Thanks in advance.

I have the k version of that processor (unlocked multiplier) and is pretty good. You have plenty memory and hard drive space.
The SSD is a very good idea and it makes a huge difference in speed in many applications.
I can't comment on the video card. I used Nvidia in my last three builds. How much video memory is on that card? Get one with at least two gigs of video memory. From what I've seen with a quick google check , it seems pretty weak.

SO i don't have a system close enough with that one to be able to say if it's good enough. The processor, hard drive, memory look good to go. Don't know what motherboard and power supply are in that box. That's pretty important this days.

+1 to what Jaws2002 recommends. Nvidia is my preference.

i don't know EZ, but your load problem is not from hardware.

i am able to load the game easely with a i5 2500k 8gb ram and a 5770. tough i use a 7870 now.

i can't help you fix your isue, but try and fix it before you move on to the shop.

anyway, i have a 7870, its rahter inexpensive this days, but i wouldnt buy it again. defenetly going for a nvidea nextime.

Thanks for your time peoples..

I have no idea what size that video card is.. I looked but seems there are no more details I could find.

Plus, I have always used Nvidia.. I thought it might be time for something different. Maybe I'll keep looking.

My system runs pretty well but I'd recommend an Nvidea GTX670 rather than my card. You should be creaming the game on that system, something is wrong!

I was previously running on a 5870...

Hi again and thanks for your input guys..

Still looking here and there, price shopping, etc,.,
I have always had Nvidia, but can't seem to find a package anywhere that includes it.. And is it really going to make a big difference?

Do I need more than 8GB of ram to run this game with high settings?
This is the PC that I'm currently looking to get unless someone suggests otherwise.

If anyone knows of any nice packages up here in Canada, please let me know.

These guys are located near me in Waterloo, Ontario, plus they have other outlets in Ontario. I get all my computer components from them.
