Default Reaching Level 70 on Impossible is....Well Impossible

So I just finished the game on impossible only to find out I made it too level 65 as a Soothsayer. Now before you say what about this and what about that, I am going to tell you everything I did and still came up well short of 5 levels to get to level 70.

Learning talent 20 percent increase in experience---had this by apx level 7 maxxed out

Belt of the Ice Dragon gives 10 percent increased experience in battle---had this by apx level 10

Treasure Hunter level 3 gives 7 percent more experience in battle---Had this maxed almost before the spider boss but had it maxed before level 25

Gifted Warrior 15 percent more experience points for the hero----again had this maxed at around level 15

I will say this I never found 1 Ancient Knowledge Scroll in my entire travels or I would have duplicated the crap out of it to give myself a lot experience.

Did 715 battles and 114 quest in my journey(Had 4 quest I was unable to finish which could have led to a couple more)

Now I could not have missed more than maybe 15 fights tops between the people I let go and maybe a spawn that got replaced by a new spawn or a bugged quest. But to make sure that did not happen I would go around and clear every random spawn first in every area I had access too before I touched any quest people or talked to anyone. This way so I could guarantee that new spawns would not replace old spawns and I was able to do every battle available too me. I also know there is a guy you can fight if you want to pay 1 million gold but I am sure fighting him 9 times (Have about 9 mil gold)is not going to get me to level 70 maybe would get me another level or two tops, but still with every single item I had and talent I should have hit level 70 no problem on impossible.

This was a very buggy and disappointing game for a series that has become one of my favorite series only to realize that north Demonis and Marshan Swamp are not accessible which would have made it possible to achieve level 70 more than likely. On top of that this is the first game I was unable to get every spell to rank 3 and still have plenty of crystals left over. Part of that reason is cause of the added rune spell school and partly cause I must have seen over 50 building that had nobody home or were not accessible so there felt like a lot less items available cause of how unfinished and rushed the game was. Besides that there was a total of 3 boss fights!!!.....that is right the entire game had 3 boss fight. Like what a joke. Every boss fight I did gave some pretty disappointing experience gain I think I recall the final boss Guilford giving me less that 3k experience.

This game took me longer to beat(apx 150 hours compared to 140 hours) than King's Bounty The Legend(which felt like by far the best put together one of the series sadly)but yet this game had almost 300 less battles in it. Part of the reason it took so long probably an extra 20 hours is I had to sit and wait for mana to regen (Usually a 2 minute wait between almost every fight at least that is a lot when 500 of those battles you had to wait)which took a especially long time after you got the might talent that allowed you to keep part of your rage between fights.

Just for all you know doing an impossible run hoping to hit level 70 all I have to say is good luck too you.

And if someone feels anywhere that I could have gained way more experience doing something different I am always up for suggestions.

Wrong. Of course you can reach lvl 70 on impossible. You can get infinite experience in this game if you know how.

what's it matter if you can reach the max level or not? in many old school rpgs the only way to reach the max level was to 'sploit' or 'grind' endlessly in a way that was pointless nonsense... if this is the same scenario is that a problem?

why is beating the game below the max level bad?

This whole game is only about exploiting. Unit exploitation, spell exloitation, items, etc. And I don't know what you're talking about with cheating. I was not reffering to cheating, only losers cheat. You get infinite xp by legit means. It's not my fault the game allows that.

Also use (and multiply) some Ancient Knowledge scrolls if you find them and that gets you to 70.

Ill explain to you since you are not quite understanding the point of the post. They put an achievement to get to max level. So max level should be attainable with some form of effort outside of exploiting game mechanics or cheating. Old school rpgs did not have an achievement to do that so the level you beat the game at was what it was as long as you were strong enough to beat the final boss. And I doubt you played most "old school" rpgs cause most "old school" rpgs 90 percent of them did not have a level cap.

So no this is not the same scenario. The fact is they put the achievement in with the regards you would be able to go to Marshan Swamp and clear the other half of demonis which never happened and why do you think you see so many empty houses in the game those were going to be quest they never put in. If i recall The Legend had almost twice as many quest in it so that is why I came up 5 levels short of the achievement they are saying is possible.

I like to put as much challenge into a game as I can and completing achievements is something I like to do and they happened to add achievements into this King's Bounty so when I am striving to complete an achievement they put into the game only to find out it was never possible I think is a poor job on their part.

Maybe that will enlighten you a little better since the original post obviously confused you.

This is where you are wrong. The whole game is not about exploiting its about taking advantage of the weaknesses of your enemies. There is a big difference there that you do not seem to understand. If you are exploiting you are not playing the game as intended and are more or less cheating in a way the game allows you to. So I will explain to you in a more simple term since I can tell things are not easily understood by you and spell check seems to be failing you even when its programed into website.

Using fire against plants....taking advantage of a weakness
Using slow on a fast melee enemy....taking advantage of a weakness
Using Chargers,Calm Rage,Runic Word....exploiting infinite mana and rage the way most people do for a no loss run
Crafting an item that you can fight the keepers and then destroying it to get the same amount of crystals if not more back and then spamming valkyrie gold during the battle.......exploiting infinite gold and xp and crystals

You get the point between exploiting and taking advantage of weaknesses. The game is a single player game only and like most single player games they all have exploits in them that the developer does not bother to put limitations on them cause its not a multiplayer game so they do not bother with it and work on more important things. Look at Skyrim you can exploit that game 500 times over "legitimately" but you know when you are exploiting. Its really up to you if you want to spend your time exploiting a single player game and try to say oh yea I beat that game the legit way even though you know the developers never intended for that game mechanic to be used that way.

The game allows cheat codes too so that is okay too right?

Oh yea on the Ancient Knowledge scroll I mentioned that in my first post but I guess you missed that too since the game shouldn't require making 50 Ancient Knowledge scrolls to achieve max level. If you need so I can could probably simplify this even more for you and not use such big words next time.

I can tell you are a bit bewildered, matey, so I will try to write an explanation so clear, that even You can understand it.

You are not the one to decide how is this game "intended" to be played. I installed the game, got into it, and use whatever I can use if I want. You seem to be bad at basic logic, because cheating means doing something that the game doesn't allow you to. Please try at least to not contradict yourself.

I ask you then, Killing 1000 polar bears with 1 single royal snake? What is this,, taking advantage of a weakness? Or a game mechanic exploitation? As I sayed earlyer, this whole game is about such exploitation, whether you or anybody else like that or not. Beating 1000 bears with 1 snake isn't strategy, isn't cleverness, isn't "taking advantage of a weakness", - it's quite clearly, exploitation my son. Some like it and some hate it but it's exploitation nonetheless.

It's well known that developers themselves intended to make it possible to beat 1000 polar bears with a royal snake. They with all knowledge of it, chose to do so. Not me. I didn't do anything. I'm just exploting what I can, effectively raping the game. Well, I chosen the Impossible difficulty, and they sayed I must do whatever I can in order to beat an invincible enemy. So? I'm doing just that.
Just like everybody else.

Jesus, NO, dude, that would be cheating. Cheat codes are definetly NOT part of the game, where did you get this false information from? Getting infinite Gold by legit means is respectable however.

This is not for YOU to decide. Game shouldn't let you to beat 1000 polar bears with 1 snake but... it does, so.. there's nothing that I, nor you, can change about that.

That's ok, don't bother. I hope you learn from what I told you.

duh - why not install the classic mod that increases game time when you hover over the day/night hud till you have full mana. its not cheating just a time saver and your rage decreases too, during that time
