If you have trouble with first island no-loss

I see a lot of people who have trouble with the first island no-loss if you got patience I will give you some tips.

Create game- check first 2 chests inside town for heal,stoneskin,call of nature,shield that gives you 300 leadership or another item I got one time that gives you 200. If you get none of these hit escape, main menu and create new game.

Keep doing this until you get spells or nice items. Then go out of town to bridge before tutorial. Save game tell guy u will go in the tutorial. Check right away for scroll before first battle. Nothing good? Reload save at the bridge. Now tell him you dont want the tutorial. Then search island see if you get some nice items. If you get good stuff just reload game and play tutorial. If you dont just make new game and repeat.

I did this on one of my playthroughs. Its kinda annoying but I wasnt the genius who decided to make this game random to point of no fun.

On my skald I was level 1 with 1000 leadership after a lucky start with some phat leadership items. This makes things much LESS fun but it will help those having trouble.

Yup, that pretty much covers all, and don't bother loading the game from the bridge and expecting to find different items/spells in the cashes/stores because they are generated on the beginning of the game. So in total there are 3 vendors to look it up just from the start.

More important is to check that the two hard enemy heroes (ahriman and his necromancer boss) don't have uber huge forces. Their max size is 2x as large or more than their minimum size, if either of them spawns at max size then you can't no-loss the island, period. If both of them spawn small it isn't all that difficult at all. You'll need to use a scanner to see the second one though.

I was bashing my head against Ahriman for a while until I figured out I had a spawn that was just insane. Restarted and easily beat him in just a few tries since he was so much weaker the second time.
