Im trying to do my first impossible run, with no losses but i do have some difficulties. Im still on the first island clearing undeads for whips but i cant do 2 of those without loosing troops. They use poison spell and ghost blade, 120 dmg is more then most of my troops can take or a soothsayer can heal.
Im playing a mage and dont have any spells that can help yet. Are there any tricks to get past this ? |

tips for soothsayer
is order level 3(heal for damaing the undead and healing yourself or rune magic level 3(using the winter circle to kill alot) other than that to not let him cast damaging spells are this using call of nature scrolls so he cast it on them instead of your real units try using different unit combinations LIke splitting soothsayers(the unit) with axethrowers and beserkers or using slingers to he will cast sheep/fear/doom on them IIRC a soothsayer can survive a ghost blade/poison skull from the black knight but not from the necromancer |

My problem is that i cant get past first island without loosing troops , and i got no spells to help me. no natures call and no units (except soothsayers) that can survive 120\125 dmg spells

Just play the game. ![]() It's ok to have losses, sometimes you just can't stop them. If the enemy casts ghost blade and your units die, you just couldn't do anything. Of course, reloading and replaying the same battle 1548 times would solve the problem of losing units eventually, but such a loss of time and energy is hardly recommendable. |

and just look at the difficulty of them (troop strenght in Leadership) sometimes the fights are indeed impossible cause of the high leadership but sometimes they have low leadership and u can steamroll them and as soothsayer make sure u get nature scroll ( i think winter's circle is fixed and so is healing IIRC) |

tiberiu is right. Losing some slingers isn't a big deal. Losing a core level 5 unit that is hard to find is another story.
Also, I'd personally restart until you can get Call of Nature. It helps minimize losses a bit. |

i restarted multiple times for my mage, when i got nature call i missed heal and vice verse, it depends on luck A LOT, my warrior first roll i had like +4 int in the shops (belt, staff, artifact) man why couldn't have that on my spell-caster. sometimes i think this game just teasing me, i need to open the pc and get rid off these unfriendly gremlins inside.

You want first Island really easy you can just start game open first 2 chests nothing good then reboot start over real fast. Save before you get to bridge check inside first part of training area nothing good reboot. Reload tell guy on bridge you wanna skip tutorial check the island first. Nothing good? start new game. I did this a few times looking for heal and I got a shield that gave me 300 leadership and flag that gave me 200 plus another item that gave me 50. let me tell you at level 1 with 1000 leadership no loss is very easy. Then you can sit back enjoy game after first island.

Managed to do them with a bit of luck but still didnt found any decent spells or items. I guess i will fast clear all the way to leaving the island , if i still dont get anything good , i will most likely restart.
Tnx for the tips tho. Cheers |
