Default Any way to remove (or Mod out) certain spells from the game???

Hi,
Been playing through this latest iteration of the KB series and like many others I am finding the game a little too easy.
I've tried the "self imposed" challenges and whatnot but there always comes a time when my willpower weakens on a particularly tough fight and I will end up "bending" one of the rules hehe.

Anyways, I enjoy playing as a Soothsayer but there are waaaay too many OP spells in the game, in particular i'm referring to direct damage spells (ie. AOE or Single Target spells that do instant spike damage).

I basically want to remove the aforementioned spells from the game entirely (or at least remove them from the pool that the spells are generated from with a new game start)

Now, I know hardly anything about modding in this game but am guessing that any changes I make will have to be to the Spells.Txt file??? If so do I have to delete the spell entries or is there some way to comment them out?

Or is there a simpler way, maybe a Mod or File i can create and just drop into the addon folder?

Willpower sounds a lot easier than figuring out how to do this. Are you playing on Impossible? Just refuse to use certain units / spells / combos and when you get stuck you can ask us for help.

Some guys here have done some INSANE combinations so we can help give you some ideas.

Hi Buddy. I have learned to mod the game for myself and to remove the overpowered things from the game. If you want, you can too.
What you need to do is learn to edit the file named ses.kfs from the sessions\addon folder. And also the data.kfs file from data folder.
These are archives that contain data about things such as units, spells, and even difficulty. You can potentially increase the power of the stacks of enemies.
See if you can open the archives and edit them and then I will help out how I can if you encounter any troubles.

It is so much better to play the game without cookie cutter and piece of cake strategies. I don't how how to remove entirely a certain spell, but you can just increase it's mana cost to 100 and crystals needed to learn it to 50. That should do the trick.
