free flight

hi just started out with clod is there an option to choose any plane and take off from which ever airfield you like. can not find any free flight option in the main menu with these options. cheers

As stated by Faber, only the Quick Mission "Cross Country" alow you to take off - but not select airfield. Plane spawn with engine(s) on, idle.

To choose a different plane, in the first screem of mission, click over Blenheim picture an select what you desire. Your are not able to change leadout for the plane.

To choose diferente airfield, leadouts, and/or "simulate" engine start procedure you need create a new Single Mission in FMB and mark "Spawn Parked" option...

...and to add to Sokol1's contribution, you can make ANY mission playable in Quick Mission by creating the mission in Full Mission Builder, saving it in the Singles folder and then by exiting the Sim and copying the mission's two files from
C:\Users\USERName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions\Single
to
C:\Users\USERName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\Quick
You can also add your own music file and jpg to play and show in the Briefing screen of that mission.
