Default Game will not start

I have been away a few months and tried to start the game but it will not even launch. I have un-installed and re-installed through Steam and it does the same. I have searched the threads with no success. I have notified Steam but no response. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

System specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.8GHz
8.00GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

I don't either and it may be better for you in the long run that you never get it to start.

Anyway, maybe you are not running it in dx10? Go in your config file and change that parameter. Off hand, I forgot how to do that. But you can search the forum, you should be able to find it and give it a try.

If you find you want to dump that game, then come fly here http://www.warbirdsofprey.org/ New spit/109/hsfx/1946 server.

Well I had the same.
remove local files trough steam.
then got to your game install folder in c:/programfiles (x86 ) for win7 an manually delete the files there steam doesnt clear them all.
then clear the files in documents (1cSoftclub)cache delete complete folder.
Then have a register program look for problems I reccomend CcLeaner and delete any keys to clifs of dover.
Then reinstall the game run it clear cache again and install both patches.
That did it for me.

Good luck.

Niels
