What is the maximum ping i need to play multiplayer? The best i can get (here in Alice Springs Australia) is 350, is that good enough?

thanks, yes 350 is the smallest/fastest i can get and that's late at night when no one else in Alice is online. Will give it a go, when i used to play first person shooters 350 ping would be nowhere near good enough.

Hello mate, there are quite a few aussies onboard already, so come and join in!
According to the tecky people who know things, it's more important to have a steady ping than a particularly low one. Any of our antipodean pals around to chime in here?? ![]() P.S. I've played on ATAG_Wolf's server, which is actually his home computer, I'm in the UK, he's in Melbourne, so in terms of miles it works, but of course it depends on your ISP too. And all that. Pretty much what Dutch said. As long as you have a steady ping, you should be ok.
The netcode in CoD hasn't been fully optimized yet, but in the previous IL2 series people could easily fly on 56Kbit dial-up connections with pings nearing 500msec. The new sim is a bit more demanding and rougher around the edges, but i think your 350msec ping will be ok, as long as it's a steady one. |

Ping from Sydney to ATAG I see 230-250 on ATAG perfectly playable.
