Unable to start game after patch.

Hey guys. . .still can't seem to get the game running with the current patch and hotfix. I've tried all day downloading the same patches from different sites and have had the same result. I get the crosshairs that popup initially and then they disappear leaving me at the desktop confused and frustrated. I have deleted the entire game and redownloaded. The game works, but as soon as i put the patch on it doesn't start. I have also cleared my cache folder with no success. I really wanna get back in the skies! Please let me know if you guys can think of anything i may have missed. Here is what my latest .dmp file says. . ..

specs are: Windows 7 Pro X64, ASUS X78 Mobo, intel I7 3.06 quad core, 2 X GTX 470's in SLI, SB X-fi, 12gb RAM and plenty of HD space.

What program did you use to unpack the patch files after download? I and a good couple of others had exactly the same issue where the crosshairs would appear but the game would not launch as you describe - it was rectified by using Winrar to unpack the patch files before coping into CoD (not winzip for example which unpacks the files but they don't work).

i got the same problem. i used winrar winzip 7zip and thats it.

Do i have to instal the patches one by one or can i pick the las one 1.07 ?

I extract the patch archive and just copied Parts folder to il-2 sturmovik and after that when i try to start the game the cros shown up od desktop than nothing heppens. PLEASE HELP!

I LET STEAM VERIFY MY CLOD WITCH REVERTED IT TO 1.5 SOMET I THINK THEN JUST UNZIPPED THE LATEST PATCH THE PARTS FOLDER USING WINRAR TO THE IL2 CLOD MAIN FOLDER NO PROBLEMS AFTER THIS!!!! MIND THE SPELLING HAD A FEW BEERS

sorry for my spelling (i'm not english at all just lived there for few years I' will defenetly have a couple of bears after work. I'm gonna reinstall all the software and try again.
