Default P-51B/C/Mustang III Wing roots

Now I know most of us are aircraft nuts here, and this one bugs me... the P-51D had an enlarged wing root kink due to the landing gear.

Anyone notice that the P-51B, C and Mustang III all have P-51D wing roots in-game?
It's obviously not important, but I'd like this changed in the game unless someone can find proof of P-51B/C/Mustang III's having that modification.

Here's some pics of what the P-51B, C and Mustang III wing roots are supposed to look like:

And here's the P-51D/K wing root:

This has been addressed in the mod community before. I think the consensus was that it was more effort than it was worth to do.

Oh, that's too bad.

I was hoping that it wouldn't be too hard to touch up while building the next patch.

Apparently it's a lot more work than it seems to move vertices around an already completed airplane. It would be easier to start from scratch, I hear. It's one reason why the P-40 still has that huge dihedral and other shape issues.

Only in official patches. It's been long corrected via mods.

Ah, I suppose you're referring to the Ultra Packs? I've been thinking of running that along the clean 4.11m.

Not sure about the quality or bugs though.

Well they are still for 4.10
Although you can us a modact to add some to 4.11.
I play dbw, and its remarkably stable. Only gets buggy when I try messing with it!

Ah, so do you have any good links concerning the installation of modact?

I assume it has added effects and has fixed some aircraft graphic model issues..?

That canopy glazing in the mod P40 N is terrible, probably worse even than the incorrect dihedral and the improper radiator inlet.

The Hawk 87s in game need an entirely new model.

The 81s however, are really quite good.

Your right, the stock P-40N is way better...
I simply don't see what your talking about with the canopy.
OP you should do a little bit of looking around as there is a thread here about the modact and mods that have been used with 4.11 successfully.
