Hi,
Trying to marry my power, reset and LED cables to my mother board. The colours are. Red Red Blue Green White Yellow On red and red I get continuity when I depress the ST switch. So I can safely assume thats the power switch. On the other colours I get no continuity but I do get 2.5M ohms between all other colours. So I assume these are the LED's. Put I cant pair them. There is a parallel path between them all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT1: I did it. I used the Diode test function and they lit up when I got it right. Good old multimeter ![]() Yellow + and white - are HDD LED Blue - Green + for Orange Power LED Green - Blue + for Blue Power LED I guess the only thing Im lacking is a reset button. So what should I do about that? Looks like after today I wont have to hotwire my PC with a screwdriver. Last edited by 5./JG27.Farber; 04-07-2012 at 02:24 PM. |

Hahah, I cut all of them! Going to splice and solder them to some different connectors so they fit my mobo.

Most modern PC-Housings doesn't have a reset-button.
Why? Because you have to let your OS to shut down. If you want to reset, just press your power-button more than 5 seconds. Normally then he should be switched off. |

I see, so the two pins on the MoBo are just in case the case has a reset button and is entirely optional.
Thanks |

BS, no OC'er will ever buy it.
While OC'ing two things will happen a: BSOD where a reset button wont help b: system hang where a reset button actually does help Branded retail PCs on the other hand usually never have reset buttons. Rem: Kodoss, how do you like the cmos reset on our board? lol ![]() Last edited by swiss; 04-08-2012 at 09:41 AM. |
