Default Fuel Cocks

I've watched many a start up video on YouTube and all of the videos show working fuel cocks. I have CEM on in the options menu. If I try to grasp the lever it will indicate I have control, but the lever doesn't activate - move. I've designated buttons from my HOTAS to the fuel cock (indicated as #1 on the pop up box in the cockpit) and still the lever won't budge.

I can't get an allie plane to start - nor the Gr50. I can get it to turn over but it sputters and ides within seconds.

Yesterday I reinstalled, but I'm not certain Steam discarded my settings. So in case it didn't I deleted all the control settings and made a new control profile, being careful of what I select for fuel cocks et al.

I'm at a loss for what to do as I think I'm doing everything okay. It's especially frustrating to see YT videos and the lever works on all them, so I don't think it's a developer's issue.

Any help? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

my initial thought would be that you have an axis assigned to fuel cock which is 'overiding' your button presses. You mention allied planes- have you tried spit and Hurri? I ask cos spit (and stuka have reversed control on axis )
as you have reset controls (you did hit apply after?- not back?)this is unlikely but always worth checking

Have you also checked that you don't have a 'sticky' button on your hotas? (check in windows game controllers).

if all is good maybe try delete any fuel cock assignments then try mouse control?

good luck

No need to toggle any fuel cock in the G.50 since it's broken but what you do need to do to get it started is to give about 10-20% throttle before pressing "I". If you don't give it any throttle it will just sputter and die.

Thanks guys. I'll look for potential axis applied to fuel cocks. I've never directed an axis to a fuel cock so if it did some how get assigned I never looked.

Even if I have a button assigned to (for example) the 109's prop pitch accuator I can manipulte it with either my HOTAS or my mouse button. The fuel pumps work fine in all planes that have them - just not the fuel cocks. The radiator levers work in the Hurri and Spits. I'm confused as to why it's only those.. Hmmmmm. I've tried 'throwing' the cock in both directions with the mouse and it won't budge.

I didn't know the G-50 was porked. More throttle it is, then. I was giving about half inch so I'll try more - plus some patience.

I hate using the auto pilot just to get the Hurri and Spitty to start up. I have no problem with the axis planes (well really the 109. I haven't tried the other's yet).
