Look how pristine the new cliff face is - beautiful. And I wonder if the rock fall caused a mini tsunami across the channel? I saw a documentary a while back saying that chunks of Gran Canaria are in danger of falling into the sea and causing a massive tsunami to devastate the US eastern seaboard. Seemed a bit far fetched to me though.

if you call the western flank of the Cumbre Vieja with an approximated mass of 5 x 10^14 kg "chunk"...

After some calculations geologists say it could happen eventually in the next 10^6 years. So not too much to worry about, I guess.
