Is it possible to change the loadouts in Campaign or are they locked?

I only ask as I sat there yesterday after starting a new campaign and when I tried to remove a type of ammunition and then add a different ammunition to each gun, nothing happened when I hit the add/remove buttons.

I think I have had this problem too in Single Missions, but I wondered if they were locked for the Campaign (RAF campaign I have just started).

If they can be changed....what the heck am I doing wrong!?

to my understanding at least the gun loadouts are hardcoded in the missionfile.

should we put that to the WIP list !? ......
