Hi
I live in Western Australia & purchased IL2 Cliffs of Dover when it was first released via EB games. At the time I didnt have a pc to run the sim. Yesterday I decided to install the sim on my wifes laptop, its better than my pc & I thought I would give it a go. However Steam said my activation code was already in use & would not install the sim. I have left a message with steam support & are waiting on a reply. What other options do I have for complaint? I have now realised the disk was manufactured in Australia & have read lots of other people have had the same issue. I am considering going to consumer affairs over this the sim cost me around $80.00 Australian, but its not about the money its the principle of the matter. |

If the code doesn't work then you should be entitled to a new code/game. I'm not 100% sure if it applies to Australia too, but I would extremely surprised if it didn't. Have you contacted the retailer where you bought it? I suggest you go there first, bring your wifes laptop along and show them it won't activate.

Has anybody in Australia or the internet world had the same duplicate activation code issue with Cliffs of Dover?

Have you heard back from Steam / ebgames yet?
I purchaced two copies when it came out, one from eb games and the other from steam. No issues to report. Good to see another Sandgroper with COD. Soon we may reach a critical mass that populated local servers spontaneously appear! Till then I get on to the ATAG server, normally a few people there and a playable ping (270 odd) Cheers! |

Steam states because I cant provide my purchase docket & because I am beyond the 90 day cut off point they cant help.
I am going to see the manager of the EB games store on Monday to "discuss" this, with a basball bat. |
