Default Would really like to see the game...

Been out of simming for ~4 years but have been lurking around knowing that COD would be great since IL-2 was so incredible.

I finally jumped in and purchased the game through Ubisoft for $39.99 (using a $10 off coupon). The latest patch was the swing vote… 

PROBLEM: All seems “normal" until I choose a quick mission. The right side of the screen where the map is supposed to be is black and stays that way whether I press the map button or not... Then when I say "fly" I can hear the plane and the radio but just see my desktop with no cockpit, external view etc... Just the icons on my desktop.

I thought it may have been my drivers but now, I upgraded and no change. Using Direct X 11.

I installed the game and then extracted the patch files to the steam location and like I said, it all seems to be there, yet no picture...

PLEASE HELP IF POSSIBLE. I haven't been able to find anyone else with a similar issue...

The game does not support DX11 yet.It runs DX10.You might check your conf.ini for DX10 as the render.

Also you might reinstall net framework 4 from your redist folder.

It may also be your video drivers or an unsupported video card.

I thought DirectX was backwards compatible... i.e DX11 has the capability to run games written in DX 10 ro 9???

No?

Yes it is backwards compatible.

I thought since you said you were using DX 11 you had forced the game to DX 11 in the ini.

Thanks for your help...

I still think the issue is the rendobj.dll file... Even after using the STEAM file integrity check/restore, I still can't find the file on my machine anywhere...

Is there anyway to get it back? Do I just need to uninstall and start over?

Another Q... What about when I extract the patch files? If I do a file integrity restore, I'd assume it writes over the patch?

Checking the file integrity will set it back to the last official version.

I am not sure if rendobj.dll is still used.It is not on my machine.
