Default TrackIR zooming when looking aside

The only prob left for me with this great sim, is that when I have wide fov and I look aside (9 or 3 o'clock) the view automatically seems to zoom in. Like when I lean forward. I can hardly keep track of hostile A/C. This is also a prob in the Spitfire.
Did some of you have solved this problem?

This is due to the way your TrackIR profile is configured and not something to do with the game itself: moving to the side "injects" a bit of sideways motion too that moves your viewpoint closer to the canopy.

I think there's an option in the trackIR software to control how zooming works, you can choose between "game-relative" (moving left when looking left will also zoom in) or "yourself-relative" (regardless of where you are looking, zooming only occurs when you move closer to your monitor). I can't remember the exact name of the relevant option but it's definitely there.
