Default Blackdeath Track Mission

Folks, I remember there was a mission that was based on the Blackdeath track. Does anyone know where to download it? Thanks!

I remember that but I don't have the mission anymore. I'm pretty sure that the mission was created by the author through using a good eye and some guesses rather than any sort of conversion.

I don't remember the name of the file but I'm sure it must have had "blackdeath" in it I would think. I really miss that mission flying an IL-2 and bombing those columns and airfields.

You can rename the .trk file to .mis When you load this .mis file into the FMB you can change it and re-use the changed mission.

Nettrack files also contain custom skins. They also record more than the simple .trk file. Nettrack files can not be renamed to .mis. they are encrypted.

.trk files are version dependant. You need to play them with the same version as they were recorded in.

Nettrack files can be played with any version as long as it contains the used map and objects.

Both type of tracks do not record everything. The AI routines are used to control objects up to a point on playback. Therefore every time you play a track the outcome may differ. Nettrack records a lot more. Add to that the custom skins and it is clear why they are a lot bigger than .trk files.

  • Run your QMB-mission for a few seconds
  • exit game
  • save track
  • exit game
  • copy *.trk to single missions folder of your choice
  • change ending from .trk to .mis
  • start game
  • run FMB
  • open mission-file that was a trk before
