Hola back at ya!

I've got two of the little monkeys and have run without SLI and the 580 (1.5 GB) runs well. It might be worth owners of the ATI comparables offering their feedback too just to get a balanced view.

Is the Asus GTX580 Matrix the 3GB variant?

Toodles

Badger

Gday badger Neg mate, its only the 1.5GB card, just the ROG edition. Im just wonderin if the 1.5 runs it as well as the 3GB card, cause i want it to match the ROG motherboard i bought

Else ill look at either the Palit 3gb or MSI lightning if it turns out the 3GB cards are the go.

Very satisfied with the GTX 580, it's the last monocore GPU, so you do not have to deal with SLI. This is my test before and after the change:

Yep, I'm quite happy with mine too. I have the eVGA GTX580 with 1.5 and I think the main limiting factor on my build at the moment is my stock clocked i7 940. Everyone who's getting amazing frames seems to have their processor bumped up to at least 3.2 or 3.5 gHz.

I'm happy with the frame rates I'm getting though with pretty much everything on medium or high.

I would not touch anything with 1,5Gb VRAM if I was going for a new purchase if I were you.

Go straight for a 3Gb VRAM version.

My 2cents...

Just wait for the new patch and decide then, if you go with the 1.5 or 3 Gig version.

Thumbs up

Again, very happy with mine,it was undoubtably the best upgrade I made on my bit of kit.

I have the ZOTAC 1.5 GB version and it runs COD very sweetly.

I was following vids like Tuckie for a while then went and got a 3gig gainwood gtx580 so amazing and can run every game full graphics above 60fps.

Besides 3gig is better for the long term. I swapped to the 3 gig from gtx 285 sli.

I play COD and Arma2ao all the time in full glory. SOOOO HAPPY!!!
