Those are some gorgeous birds....and that sound....
![]() That 190 reminds me of the awesome Classic Hangar FW-190 for FSX: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...2-2-40-281.jpg ![]()

i was there, was fun to see.
the only thing that video doesn't do a great job of conveying is the sound difference between the 2. the 190 is a good deal quieter/throatier and that super charger scream from the 109 is more awesome in person. the video just doesn't quite do the sounds justice. the 190D13 they have on display there is also immaculate. it can fly but they're never going to fly it as it is just to rare, at least that is what they told me. there was also an 88 just to the right of the 109 that they had hauled out on display, they have 2 more iirc. they also have a t34/85 and a hetzer, both runners and they do drive them at least once a year and take folks on rides (for a fee). its worth seeing if you're in the greater seattle area. |

...great video, great planes, phantastic engine sound ! ! !
No modern plane can compete with the spirit of those aircraft ! (that counts of course also for the allied planes of that era) I wish we had sounds like that in CloD instead of those lawn-mower sounds we have now ! ![]() |
