what is it really good for???
i changed it to not use it for cod, and now i cannot recenter my track ir anymore.this happened to me the second time.the first time(a month ago) i disabled it, because someone was saying that it can improve performance,track ir did not recenter anymore but after restarting the computer, it worked again during the game. but this time, it doesnt work.

can somebody enlighten me what steam cloud is exactly doing?is it good to have it enabled for cod or should i better leave it unchecked?
i have all these problems after a complete new install of steam and cod. i wanted to have a vanilla version of the game to see if i can gain some performance.
all i have now is steam telling me that i use the game from a different computer(although its the same), track ir does not recenter when pressing F12,and the performance gain i hoped for, is just not present.

by the way, track ir is working properly and i have set the screenshot button in steam to F11 instead of the default F12(so this is not the problem, interfering with track ir)

i just recognized, that i dont even have to start the game to have this effect.its enough when i open steam, then my trackir no longer responses.as soon as i click on my desktop though(with steam opened) it reacts again.pretty strange and i dont know what to do.any suggestions???

I believe it backs up certain config files remotely so (in theory) if you log in from a different computer it can sync the config files so you have the same settings. In my experience it screws up your config files from time to time so I leave it off on all steam games.

this did the trick.i was really frustrated cause nothing i tried seemed to work.the only downside was, after i changed both programs to admin, that i had to create a new trackir profile, but that was a work of five minutes.thx again!

Two questions
Which is the advantage of maintaining Steam cloud active ?
I disabled Steam at the config.ini start menu, and tried loading the game but couldnt, and a related warning error box appeared, does it means I need to be Internet connected to start Steam again ?
