Yes apparently he and a few 1C mates are holed up in a black sea dacha that used to belong to a high ranking party official.

Suposedly they moved there immediatly afer his "you wont hear from me for a bit" post
The dacha has no internet or phone lines for security reasons
The new employees turned out to be some rather attractive unattached Ukrainian girls
and some former Spetnaz private security guards tasked with protecting Luthier from irate flight sim fans.
Supplies are reported as good in particular the reserves of vodka,caviar,champagne and peanut M&Ms are enough to last for a small nuclear winter.
Having recently aquired a considerable amount of euros, and with the prospect of future US dollar earnings moral is reported as good
Luthier was unavailable for comment.

There is no way he was going to heaven after the release of CloD anyway. Unless he got craptured and is now enjoying an eternity with 3D Realms.
