What is the secret of getting a successful launch of a torpedo? I've tried numerous speeds and altitudes, but all torpedo launches end in failure when hitting the water.
I'm using two different versions of the game (UP 3.0RC4 - based on 4.10.1m and 4.13 RC04M). Torpedos fail in both versions of the game. |

If you press TAB in flight (radio menu) it shows the recommended torpedo drop values in the top right hand corner of screen. Some are like 30m and 150kph!

I recommend creating a mission with the torpedo plane of your choice, and hitting a first stationary ships, then moving. Start out with Cargo ships at first. (There is already excellent missions for B5N2 in single missions.)
Also can press tab to see the parameters. ***Note-- for Japanese planes, if not using the speed bar, remember the Japanese instruments are in knots indicated airspeed (KIAS) and pressing tab will give you Kilometer per hour (KPH). So conversion is necessary ![]() But just keep practicing, and after you can hit cargo ships, try going against something that will fire back. ![]() |
