Default Dedicates servers

Hi All,

I am running a Dedicated server (4.13.2m) on Ubuntu Linux for some time now to play every Friday with some friends.
We play on dogfight maps against AI our own created missions.
The server itself used to run with FBDj_2.0, but I need to add all the new vehicles and planes to its database. FBDj is end of life it seems as it is not being updated any more, although the source was released some time ago.
Until I have finished that database update it is running only on its own IL2 DS and never really understood what you can do with its commands through console.
In the past I did use IL2SC but switched to FBDj due to its, in my opinion, better Web statistics page.

I wonder how you guys run your Dedicated servers and features. As i do not much see knowledge shares often. Maybe you guys have created your own scripts or added other features to run it IL2 DS optimal. Or have overcome some issues that are often experienced.
Please share your experiences and solutions to us, as I do not often see topics about Dedicated server setups, tips and tricks.

Cheers,
Ray

A new database file is needed.

I asked for updated list from TD (or a way to dump new game items) but no response as yet.

IL2SC was nice and simple to use along with MLR.

FBDJ was kinda clunky in its earliest form from Gennadich so i avoided it.

Some one made a basic server commander to work with Lowengrins DCG but soon hit problems data base related iirc

A list with all new addons and their variable names would be awsome.

My dedicated server is sometimes stuttering, when someone enters the field in missions, or when new ai planes enter te map. Is this a known issue, or can this behaviour tweaked somehow? It is pretty anoying sometimes when in flight and the dogfight mission stutters for a second.

No thing to do.
The game is loading datas from the HD.
It's the reason why it seems to freeze.

That makes sense.
In that case it should be reduced with a faster HD or even better a SSD.
Something that I am going to try. Thanks!

I can remember when using IL2SC I was able to change the weather on the server instantly.
I suppose this was a console command, probably something with SET.
How to find al this atoms/parameters that are usable from the command line?
The console command list itself, I have found.

I think that it had never been possible.
What you can change is the time of day.

set <name of atom> <string>
show [<pattern of name atoms>] [AREA <name of area>]
del <name of atom>

About the commands above: what does they mean?

About DSs' commands: IL2SC, FBDj or Zuti's MDS Monitor isn't the matter.
If the command isn't hardcoded in the DS nothing will happend...
