Default New CH HOTAS map file

I'm pleased to present Version 4 of my CH map files for IL-2 1946. Again, this version organizes certain functions in a better ergonomic manner and adds additional functions. As with the previous version, you will have prop pitch and and mixture analog controls along with almost any of the other controls you could need for flying and combat in the world of IL-2 1946 (version 4.12.2) without taking your hands off the stick and throttle.

I'm a sincerely pleased customer of the CH HOTAS control system. It is manufactured with very good quality. My FighterStick and Pro-Throttle have given me years of service without having to replace any of the pot switches, unlike other brands I own. It is just simply well built. It is extremely versatile and programmable, using the GUI, and especially so using scripting language ( a pain to learn, but worth it). If your a serious flight simmer type ( as in, not War Thunder), this is definitely the HOTAS to consider.

This will be my last map file for IL-2 1946 until version 4.13 and/or support for the Oculas Rift is released by Daidalos Team.
Enjoy!!

Highlights of my latest file.
  • Map files for CH Products HOTAS inclusive of the CH FighterStick, CH ProTrottle, & CH ProPedals.
  • Easy to setup IL-2 1946 controls configuration checklist.
  • Three Mode map file, Fighter/Ground Attack mode, Bomber mode, and Carrier mode.
  • Analog brake axis on left and/or right toe brakes.
  • Two speed analog prop pitch control axis using the Pro-Throttle hat switches.
  • Two speed analog mixture control axis using Pro-Throttle hat switches.
  • Intuitive placement of functions, grouped by systems.
  • Detailed pdf file of control & weapons notes with knee-pad prints.

This version combines 3 modes into one .map file. The three mode are Fighter/Ground Attack mode, Bomber mode and Carrier mode.
Although I use the "TrackIR" for head tracking, several equivalent (and cheaper) substitutes are available.

Mode 1, Fighter & Ground Attack mode is themed for a generic mixture of single and twin engine fighters and ground attack aircraft (not the Ju-87 / Ju- 88, see bomber mode). This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. K-14 Gunsight controls are mapped to the FighterStick “Hat 2” switch. The X-4 Rocket control is mapped to the Pro-Throttle micro stick (see notes).

Mode 2, Bomber mode is themed for aircraft with bomb-sights and the ToKG device (see below notes), such as multiple engine bombers (up to eight engines) and including the Ju-87 / Ju-88 “Stuvi” dive bomb sights. This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. Bombsight controls are on the FighterStick Hat 1 (basic & Stuvi) and Hat 2 (advanced).

Mode 3, Carrier mode is themed for carrier based aircraft. This map file is designed to be used with the “Natural Point TrackIR”. This mode incorporates functions specific to carrier operations in IL-2 1946.

You can download the map file from here at CH Hanger also.
