Default Wiki Project Idea

Hey all,

I had what I think is a decent idea (and I'm sure not the first that thought of it) that we as a community could all get involved in.

Popular games without a strong wiki are kind of rare these days and I've noticed Cliff of Dover has almost nothing in the main Wikipedia site or on other more game oriented wiki sites.

To me it seems even more important for a flight sim to have strong documentation behind it and since the devs are better at making the games and less at the documents backing them, then maybe we should pick up the slack .

You could have sections on each plane that include the history of the plane, statistics, version differences, etc and then how to use the plane in game, tactics, start-up procedure etc.

Same would be true for the weapons used as well as providing info on using the conf.ini, joystick set up etc. Information on ACM would be great as well.

If we could do this it would be a great resource for newcomers and even for veterans who decide to fly a new plane or modify some ini files.

My hope is actually that if this resource becomes the de facto place to get information perhaps Luthier and team could integrate the website into the game itself and we'd reclaim our lost plane/vehicle info window plus so much more.

What do you guys think?
