Default Serious Sound offer

Well, since I can imagine that the sound is a very expensive thing to implement, and considering I have recorded many planes in video with sound, I feel in the debt to freely offer (giver the right to use) all the engine sounds I've recorded, and this public ofer goes to:

- 1C Dev Team
- Daidalos Team
- Modders

I mean you can use sounds I've recorded, like this one:

Or this one:

You can dig into lots of videos I have in my Youtube non-music aviation channel:
http://www.youtube.com/tuckie10

If you are interested in using a sound, you don't have to ask me. You can download the video at the highter resolution (so Youtube lowers the quality of the sound in low res), and the only thing I request in exchange are credits if my recorded sounds are used.

Hope this will help...

Sounds like a great offer and quite generous of you.

But I think the problem lies in their decision to go with dynamic sounds rather than canned ones, or at least some combination of both. To be honest I would rather sacrifice some authenticity for aural indications of what is happening under given circumstances in the engine if thats the case.

Still it would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

Assuming you are referring to the actual audio in the videos, then that probably would not be appropriate since the sounds used for games are typically recorded under specific conditions with very expensive equipment.

nice recording man. it's really a shame that realistic starting of engine is not modeled in the game. i would really like to see some times failed starts and right after the start the cylinders slowly starts spin when you can clearly hear the interval of the explosions going on. that would be sweet.

I know, but if there's a remote possibility... once, a modder used a startup sound I posted in a video and it worked quite fine. Sound is not always good if there are other sounds on top, but I think that better have the possibility to use it...

It's not only an offer to modders, but also to official dev teams, as I already said.

And just one more thing... I've tons of recorded Su-26, so devs can use it's sounds to better release it when ready, but anyway I can imagine they have also access to some Su-26 in Moscow zone...
