Default Patch Problems

I don't understand what is going on with my game but yesterday the stutters were gone and I had okay but low fps minimum of 20 everywhere and no stutters, today very low fps EVERYWHERE?

I have reinstalled the game and added the beta patch but I still can't get the performance that I was achieving yesterday, very odd.

Turns out my over-clock had decided to take the day off, I am new to over-clocking any idea why it would revert to the normal bios?

hmm not sure about that one sir. sometimes if the bios fails it may revert to last know "good" settings. check your voltage for that OC. very important apparently. im not best person to ask tbh, i dont Oc because i'd rather have more life out the chip.

I'm in exactly the same position, first overclock on my 2600k. If you boot to BIOS with a warning about overclock instability then it has likely reverted to stock settings. Otherwise it should not spontaneously revert. Have you tested your oc with prime95 or similar?

One other thing I noticed is that the gigabyte windows software (easy tune) sometimes reverts my oc to stock as soon as the program loads in windows. Needless to say it is now uninstalled.

Did it revert to stock or to ~1.6 GHz? I noticed that my oc was stepping down to 1.6 at idle (even though I had EIST disabled in BIOS) but then did not step back up again under stress. Enabling EIST fixed it so the CPU now runs 4.6 under stress and steps down to 1.6 at idle.
