Default Inconsistent Server messages

Hi!

I did a quick sortie this morning, taking off from Hawkinge, I got a message about a single enemy plane to the South so I vectored that way. I'ld been flying a few minutes until I noticed fome AA going off on my Port wing. I did a slow gentle turn and came up on the tail of a 109 that was heading toward a flight of British bombers. I got up close and gave him a good three or four second burst. Streaming fuel he dived away to the port and I lost him against ground clutter.

I circled around for a minute or so until I noticed him trying to get a firing solution on my tail. What followed was three or four minutes of flying around in circles getting lower and slower, he managed to get a burst on me which took out my port guns, then all of a sudden I lost him.

A few moments later the server put up a message saying that I destroyed him BEFORE he got of the ground. Now I'm the first person to enjoy a good vulch, but all this happened within a mile or two of Dover.

I wonder if he left his aircraft and had respawned before his plane had crashed, or if he had put down his wheels and landed on the water before his plane was destroyed? Either way It'd be interesting to find out why it happened. And I wasn't credited with the kill either.

Oh does anyone know if the server messages are stored in a log file anywhere? If so where is it located!

Cheers!
