You may be aware of this already (?) but thought I'd point it out anyway.
It's generally viewed as a good idea to go for the 'K' versions of the 2600 or 2500 Sandy Bridges as these are the only ones that will allow overclocking to any great degree. There is a small price differential but most people would say that it's worth it (even if you don't plan to overclock immediately) I would go for the i7-2600K then, but you would also need to get a P67 chipset motherboard too in this case.
