Hello!
After what seems like an eternity i've finally got round to getting something finished...Part One of a four part Sino-Japanese War campaign called Incident of War is available now! ![]() Its designed for stock 4.10.1, so everyone should be able to play it if they so wish....Below is the synopsis taken from the d/l page at M4T: Fly as US mercenary Jimmy McKenzie and experience his story, as he fights for the CAF through seven months of combat between November 1937 - May 1938. Join the Soviet volunteers flying the I-16 Type 5 in their first actions over the doomed city of Nanking; take part in famous battles over Wuhan in your I-15bis 'Siskin'; protect the southern province of Guangdong in the Gloster Gladiator....and help turn the tide of the ground war during the epic events at the Battle of Tai'erzhuang. In this campaign you will not only be fighting an implacable enemy, but dealing with tricky flying conditions, damaged or poorly equipped airfields, nightflying without the sophisticated aids required - all the while operating without radios....expect to be challenged! 19 historical missions 11 semi-historical missions 6 fictional missions (including the 3 training missions spread through the campaign) The campaign comes complete with: Hayate's massive IoW custom skinpack, featuring 77 skins along with 12 pilot skins. Chris_Blair's custom China folder, complete with medalpack and music, plus a new IoW background.tga by Hayate. This folder will add a new nationality in your 'Pilot Career' menu (listed as 'None') A 36 page printable booklet containing historical info, strategic and tactical maps plus full credits and sources. Additional skins by Tchaika and Max-the-Hitman As currently there are no China maps in the stock game i've spent a bit of time placing many thousands of objects on various existing maps in an attempt to give them a China 'feel'. Its far from perfect but hopefully i've achieved some atmosphere. Heres a few screens....apologies for their quality - my trusty old coal powered PC is pretty ropey by modern standards....its also one of the reasons that the campaign was built within the stock game. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Download it here at Mission4Today: http://www.mission4today.com/index.p...etails&id=4123 And a few more shots, including some from Part Two "The Battle of Wuhan"... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Ted |

Wow this looks great! I must try this when I reinstall the sim. A very interesting and much too often overlooked theatre of war.

I too love the Hawk III! Its such an iconic CAF fighter....but unfortunatly, not available as yet in IL2 or in the campaign. RealDarko (Stratos) has made a frankenplane version which he released at SAS, shortly after i released this campaign (spotted it the other day....check it out), but the campaign was built for stock 4.10.1 - and TD's beautiful Type 5 and I-15 - anyway. I'm on it though! Give me a couple of years of thorough 3D modelling learning, and i'll be delivering a Hawk III as a priority! If not for '46, then for CloD.... Quality pic, by the way. Cheers Ted |
