3 x 22" samsungs, not the best solution atm due to performance, but it works great when over the sea. Eyefinity on a 6870

1920*1200 is your normal 16:10 monitor. I prefer it over the 16:9 ones which they most sadly are nowdays. PC use needs vertical room too!
Never head of an 1920*1440 tho wich would be your "normal" 4:3 monitor.

Hi all

Just joined this forum and this is my first post.

I fired up the game for the first time last night and noticed it defaulted to resolution of 6088 x 1200, with no other choices. Now I am running 3 x 23" Samsumg LED monitors so my correct resolution should be 5760 x 1200.

The view from the cockpit looks horrible, everything is huge. Will have to look at how to sort tis out. Outside views look ok across the three screens.

I am running on ATI 6970.

Cheers

il2 wstill has the tunnel vision issue: you wont gain extra FOV by placing more monitors = you willl loose it...

Larsen

How did you get your resolution to set at 5040 x 1050 ?

Pupo162

Can you expand a bit more on what you wrote.

Many thanks

Not to difficult. First you set up eyefinity desktop in the CCC or on the resolution settings in windows (win 7 on my end)
Then you load the game

Standard eyefinity settings. Cannot get that resolution on a single screen

Yes that is true, but is is a lot easier to have a good overview on 3 screens than just the 1. Well, depending on the size of course.

I'm running 3 1920x1080 screens in eyefinity mode.

You need to use the magical mouse combination to change FOV to make the cockpit view usable. Look in the key settings, category "Camera", option "Hold to Adjust Field of View" to see the key you need. I think the default mapping is something like: hold down mouse button 5 (or is it 4?), then simultaneously press down the mouse wheel, then move the mouse backward/forward to change FOV.

It would be nice to be able to select a default FOV somewhere, because I have to do this each time I enter the cockpit.
