Anti epilepsy setting now on steam update

Just restarted COD and a new Ubisoft splash screen appeared together with a warning ---> go into settings ---> video and theres now a button to deselect the epilepsy code

After all the Panic about Epilepsy, and denigration/smearing of Steam ...the 'fix' has been implemented in less than a single week, and smoothly/effortlessly Thanks to Steam (and 1C of course).

But how can that be? Do you mean that all the people that canceled their pre orders where over reacting? As I understood it that epilepsy filter forced down the throat of MG was the ONLY reason that the game had poor performance? How can it be that it does not run with 80 fps on a mid range rig now? I heard something about prop effect being gone, and some pixel stuff. but what besides that?
