Bestway Didn't change the Cheese?
I'd like to start off by saying I really enjoy this game and I have wasted 1000's of hours of my life playing MoW. Its hands down, one of the best WWII real-time strategy games out there. With that being said, and my money being spent on their products and future products, I'm going to add my opinion about the lack of detail, incorrect dialog and the inaccuracy of (specifically) the American forces in both MoW and MoW:AS.
First..... The Developers are going to release MoW:AS with the same cheesy dialog that everybody bitched about from MoW? Why would they do that? Wouldn't it be worth the money to consult with some Americans and get the voice acting and verbiage correct? Hell, I'd do it for free and I know about 100 Gaming/history/WWII geeks like me that would gladly do voice acting and consulting for free. (((what the hell does " shoot his ass A4" mean?...anybody? or instead of 'MEDIC!' they cry out "Nurse!"??))) All they had to do was watch a couple of American WWII movies and it would have given them tons of examples.
Second.... The devil is in the details. They obviously spent a lot of time developing this game but, they spent little time reading a damn history book or researching. I guess I'm expecting way too much from these Ukrainian guys. With just a few small tweaks this game would be so epic. All of the heavy weapon soldiers are black, more than half of the names for the soldiers they must have got out of the East L.A. yellow pages and the Rangers look like SAS and the regular troops look like Rangers. Carentan was specifically 101st Airborne Division and 2nd Armored Division. Have you guys ever studied any American military history? You just ad-lib and guess?
Bestway, It wouldn't take much to patch in new dialog to make the Americans sound correct and less like Europeans using horrible English . You must have got a Japanese person for the Japanese.....One more thing; stop making them sound like bitches by crying out crap like "I don't want to die".
