Default shooters army

I know it has been described & analyzed before, but i thought i share my excitement. Came back to kbap after a while, thinking of trying something different and was aiming for 100% critical on shooters.
The best set-up seems to be bowmen, hunters, elfs, paladins, royal griffins + warrior character. paladins = resurrect + extra turn, griffins = +morale + cast cheer + summon meatshield. Character choice is obvious = frenzy+quick draw+onslaught etc. Basically surround paladins with units and shoot away.
Equipment : arbator (defeat driller early using troll army), elven bow, astral bow, telescopic sight, elven crown, black band, companion = Trigger.
Once set, those 3 archer units will demolish everything in the game. At level 31 i was killing Reha no loss! Gremlin down in 3 turns with each shooter doing cca 15000 crit damage etc.
This set-up is arguably the one to finish the game at the lowest level possible.
Have fun

thanks for info, sounds interesting.
but you didn't mentioned on which difficulty you're playing?
i'm interested because, for example, on impossible there are large stacks of archdeamons and red and black dragons in the armies on shettera island, and they don't care much about target spell so i think they could seriously hurt archers and make you travel a lot to replace 'em.

I was talking about impossible difficulty. When you get to face higher number of dragons etc., you’ll be higher level hero, so should have advanced if not maxed onslaught, quick draw. So you’ll go first with all your archers in the round one. Cast Fiery phantoms (or lighting ball, depends on situation), shoot, then maybe slow on any dangerous stack left. Second round, still going first, you’ll finish them off, no melee penalty for elven shooters. Don’t worry about damage from small numbers, paladins will heal it easy. Anyway, max out Distorsion + Summoner for phantom for increased griffin summon and paladin extra ress.

i was actually thinking about a droid-only run-through with trigger and all range-damage artifacts...so it would qualify as "shooters army", as repair droids will do 90% of the damage while guard droids tank and drag around the enemies

however, i made like 100 saves and scanned them all and couldn't find a single one with double engineer's badge or double twinkling boots...this doesn't make sense unless some artifacts are marked as "unique"?...
