Default Out of sinc and buffer overflow attack?

Hi all,

I need some help, please.

I am getting the out of sync error when I install the 1.17.5 cut patch from the following location:

http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/p...war/patch.html

Of course, I do it on top of the 1.13.1 and 1.16.4 patches.

When I install the 1.17.5 cut patch from the 1c or DMS website, I don’t get the error but my firewall warns me against buffer overflow attack and asks me to terminate the application.

What’s wrong with these patches? Some say to deactivate firewalls but I play lots of games online I think it’s best to keep them running.

Can anyone help me?

i think y must install hotfix 1.17.5.1 because 1st patch 1.17.5 was buggy with "russian" 1.17.5 hosted games (out of synch error)

The out of sync error in MP is usually by a file edited, such as a map in the resource folder. With the 1.17.5 patch, its usually caused by the difference in the English version and Russian version of the patch. So you won't be able to play with a person using Russian version if you have English version.

As for the buffer overflow, I've no idea. If you want to risk it, try it without your firewall or make exceptions for MoW if you can.
