Default Runs very slow

I bought this game a few hours ago on Steam, I started it and noticed that the game was running rather slow. So i exited the game and went to check on forums what the problum might be...

When i tried to start the game again, it took about 2 minutes before it actually reacted. And then it took 2 more minutes to get to the menu, and it isn't playable like that...

Is there anything I can do?

Memory: 3070MB RAM
Page File: 1870MB used, 4476MB available

Try to disable Anti Aliasing. Also update all video drivers.

It suddenly works again, without changing anything
But I have the same problem as someone else on the forum now
Now the game has a decent "speed" but still when i talk to someone or when i click anything besides the map (menu, hero,...) it's slow.
But while fighting it works completely normal.
And king's bounty: the legend had no "speed" problems

I've just noticed that it stopped working again.
And i have updated my video driver a few days ago, and anti-aliasing is off.
If i buy a better video card, will the problem be solved?
If so wich one is recommended (and has a decent price)

The game works once again but probably not for very long.
And it still runs slow when saving, talking, etc
wich is weird concidering my video card should be able to handle it

Ranassa,

Make sure you have all other programs turned off...ESPECIALLY Steam (It could be DL'ing something in the background and sucking up resources). I was having the same problems until i made sure that all background apps were turned off.

Hope that helps.

cheers,
DW

most of the time I do that but it doesn't really help.
And how can i turn steam off when i want to play KB, it automatticaly starts when i run KB.
And even if that would help wouldn't the whole game run slow instead of only when i'm trying to talk to someone, or saving?

thanks for the hint though ^-^
