Default Has the single palyer A.I improved?

The more details the better, but any amount of info is cool. I'm a 360 guy and haven't seen any info on the SP post patch. Harder, no difference, better all around?

Cheers!

Yes, I believe so.......my informal test previous to the patch was flying in a straight line in an IL2 on one of the ground attack missions through a pack of red dots (me109s) without effect. Tried again last night and gotnailed, but not as quickly as I would have hoped. Best I could do- not sure how to do this more scientifically?

P.S. Thought you were banned?

It's now suicide to ignore more than 6 enemy fighters, especially if you're in a Bomber. Allied AI, however, still feels... Dumb, though I haven't seen anyone flying randomly into the ground.

I think the AI itself is exactly the same - but with the more realistic model, it is much more effective.

Back when you could get away with yanking the stick 8g's at 400kph with no ill results, the AI planes seemed pathetic trying to evade with their simple barrel rolls and extensions. Now it is much harder to pursue them, outturn them by too much and they disappear. It takes more thinking to beat them now.

One thing that's waaay better is the flak. I've gone back to some of the SP missions that I did with limited ammo. One of them was the Ardennes single mission where your flight has to eliminate about 8 AA guns, with light fighter opposition. The fighters are still clueless, they don't even really shoot, but the AA guns aren't the pushovers they used to be. Used to be they were the easiest target to hit, sitting out there in the open with a big circle drawn around them like X marks the spot. Now they shoot at you, and they hit you, every time. The first hit usually damages your engine. About 5 indirect hits and your plane is done for.
