Well, afaik it will be a waste of money for everybody who knows il2 1946!
One gets a bit of eye-candy and some arcade flying, even in "realistic" settings.
One must not forget, it is a port from a console game, that might work in a fps but not in a simulation!

I'm going to wonder if it offers anything extra . . .

Will it be that wings of prey realistic is IL-2's arcade or will WOP have IL-2 style settings?

Or not.

Will it have the same support that 1946 has? They say it does . . .

But one thing though if they make it so you can have 100+ planes flying around, then that might be cool.

Or if they make it so planesets so are only historically planes available to that side (red or blue) can by flown by their proper side.

Maybe it might have a good user mission design program attached, or some other feature for 1946 modders to grab.

But sales for WOP might be low, given that 1946 has the market. And the economy isn't so hot . . . Especially if it needs a uber PC to run . . .

If its something flying arcady like Crimson Skies or Blazing Angels, it'd be fun but its appeal won't stay like IL-2 has.

I'll check the reviews and if it can work on my pc, cool, if not . . .

In their dev forum they already stated the team play will be limited to axis vs allies planes only.

So there is one limiting factor.

They should have taken a cue from 1946 and give server hosts at least as many options to design the online experience or more. Restricting what the online experince can be compared to 1946 is a step backwards.

Also, will multiplay be the silly air-start that BOP is currently is? That alone screws the online gameplay up. There is no reward for RTB intact after a sortie and you always start in the air.
