Default just a little confused

OK I just found out we are waiting for sony for the update release .;But I was under the understanding that it was MS.JUST how does this work.If this is a bothersome or redundant question.Im sorry but im curious as to how the process works and one other thing I have made post complaining about the update. But please no one make the mistake of thinking ,I think there is anything wrong about the game. IL-2 is head and shoulders above any flight sim ever put on console.Im just frustrated by the time delay on the update. And I have decided to keep the old XBOX Even with the problems this game is fun and makes it worth playing xbox even with the problems, even if we never get the update.

Think their may be some confusion here.

Firstly, the patch is done (by gaijin) and has been sent to the publishers who will then make sure its all good and send it to MS/SONY.

As far as im aware the prob lies with the publishers who have not yet sent it to MS/SONY, dazz1971 is stil lwaiting from an email back from them. Chances are it wont be happening though.

At the end of the day, between us all nobody is 100% certain where the patch currently is, so all we can do is speculate really.

IF it is with MS, then they usually take upto 2 weeks to check the patch make sure everything passes the checks etc then they will distribute it, but with SONY it takes a little while longer. With the game being out on both consoles then i guess they wish to have it released on both on the same day. So IF MS do have it, then chances are its just down to SONY getting it sorted at their end. Should of been done by now though.

Though IMO i dont think its with either, im pretty sure the publisher still has it. Kind of shot themselves in the foot with this one.

Ah well.

in this thread he said it was sent to Sony/MS before he locked the thread. So that is where his confusion as well as mine lies.

Stop caps, please.
It is hard to read.
Update is ready, and was sent to publisher.
Publisher found some VERY rare (for example, nobody posted it here) 'bugs' there, which were also present in release version (and they agree to that), and probably are on Sony's side.
They agreed, that update is not spoiling anything (make things only better).
After that they've stopped answer emails.
So, I don't know exactly where it is now - in Sony or not.
I am only sure, that it was done and passed QA.

I know, that's not much - that's why I wasn't posting here.
And, please, DONT WRITE IN CAPS!

From here.
So no one can really know where it is. Nike-it might be right, but since he hasn't said a whole lot I don't think he's the most reliable source (no offense). I mean, I don't know if he's even on the dev team.

yeah i read that thread before it got locked.

Seems like theirs a fair bit of confusion between a few people. Myself included. I was under the impression from reading the other threads and keeping up to date with whats going on that gaijin had finsihed the patch and sent it to the publishers. The publishers however seem to still be checking etc and messing about, so have yet to send it to MS/SONY.

who knows eh. Wish dazz would get a reply haha

As the patch has gone to 505 and Anton and Pavel are our only inside sources of information, the patch is now off radar I guess until either:

A) It suddenly appears as a required download (yay)
B) We all forget about it and move on
C) 505 deem it worthy of updating Anton who in turn updates us

But as we have no contact with 505 we'll never know what state it is in. Maybe in centuries to come the IL2: BoP patch will replace the Schrödinger's cat paradox as an example of the unknown state of an unobserved object... lol

I already have the patch. But then again I just can't determine where it is at any given time... I better do some more math....
