how do you shoot from the rear gunner position?

Whenever I am in a plane with a rear gunner I cannot figure out how to shoot. I set the view and I can see the targeting recticule but what button do I press to shoot?

Also, I was in a campaign mission the other day (realistic) and everytime I used the hat switch it would automatically switch to cockpit view when I released the switch. Has anyone else experienced this?

The crosshairs will turn from a light yellow to a dark yellow letting you know you are clear to shoot, same button you normally shoot with.

trk29 thats what i said but oh well and dont delete my post for moonknight82 cause he needs a history lesson bad.

I ask how shoot with gunner if in simulation the HUD is disabled!!!!!
HUD should be disabled but not the gunner reticule
