Default this game badly needs a defend target comand for wingmen

where u select a friendly target or a group of friendly targets and tell your wingmen to defend them because i found it impossible to defend that guys son on Korsun single mission because every enemy goes after him and i can only tell my guys to attack certain targets.
btw forward this to the dev forum because i cant get logged on

I used 'wingmen' + "attack mission targets" all time. I found if you do this repeatedly they can shoot down loads of the attacking fighters. Some missions in Sim mode using that command over and over the wingmen can shot down everything even before I had one kill, I stopped using it in the end because I want the shoot downs.

Does that actually work on sim mode since you can't lock onto a target? It'd make thing a bit easier that's for sure.

you have to visually see them, and so do your wingman. At least that's what i get out of it.

I believe it was Pedro who told me this, and when I tried it. It worked great, so thanks Pedro for this. But when doing that mission, just stick close to his six, knocking 109s off, and you should have no problem. When I did it, he got like 6 109 on his tail (not at the same time, but different times) and not once did those 109s touch him. Maybe because I'm such a great Yak pilot, I dunno

That's only for selecting 'attack my target' and yes it does work if you are close enough and aiming at the enemy, but 'attack mission objectives' works as long as you have mission objectives in yellow on your map screen.
