MoW:AS doesn't start with Roaming profile

MoW: Assault Squad, purchased through steam. On Vista Ultimate x64.

When using an networked profile location (a 'roaming profile'), the game won't start.
It 'runs' as a process, but nothing happens on the screen and the process stays at 28% processor usage and 12Mb memory. I have to kill it with Task Manager.

Made a second user with non-networked profile. This one worked fine, and I could play the game.
As this user still had redirected My Documents, so it is safe to assume that it is possible to have the gamesettings in My Documents in a networked location.

Copying this users settings back to My Documents (in the my games directory) from the roaming profile user didn't resolve the matter. The game failed to start.

Please fix this, as I have a roaming profile and I'd like to run the game in this account.
