Default So what's the overall opinion?

Hi guys,

I'm curious, someone told me the PS3 patch cam out.

How are you guys finding it?

Someone said the P-51 and B-17 are better now, is that so?

I mean, I've traded my copy in, but if the 360 patch is good then when they release the cockpits as DLC, I'd be tempted to re-purchase it once the price has dropped, or pick it up used.

So what's people's thoughts and opinions? Good? Average? Bad?

and what is Screen tearing? I've seen this word around, and I know its a PS3 prob not a 360 prob, but im curious what it is.

Thanks guys.

The P51 and B17 are badass now. The P51 flies lovely and taking down a B17 is really hard.

Blackouts and redouts seem to be appreciated by most, but will require re-learning of some skills by most pilots.

Unfortunately the issue meaning you didn't get the kill for someone who you shot crashing seems to be only partially fixed, but it is much better.

And it's nice to be able to unlock stuff a hell of a lot easier than before. If you've still got stuff to unlock...

And people seem to be enjoying the custom controls, although there appears to be an issue with assigning the zoom feature to a custom layout. It also seems the P51 isn't fixed if you use a custom layout. I wonder if that applies to the B17 too...?

Screentearing is when the game updates the display when the TV is half way through drawing a frame. So you get the top half of the new frame and the bottom half of the old frame. I can get more technical about this, but won't bother. So here's an example instead:

EDIT: I don't know how in this image they managed to get 3 tears on different scanlines...? It generally happens at one place down the screen.

Awesome cheers, to be honest I probably wouldn't use the custom layouts cus i was quite happy with it as is, control wise. SO it's good to know the P51 and B17 are fixed.

Have they done anything about the upper turrets not facing forwards?

and have they put in the stall sound?

nice to hear they've put the blackouts and red-outs in.

hmm sounds good, once they release cockpits id strongly consider re-buying it.

Cheers, thanks for the info.

Sorry couldn't tell you about the turrets...don't really know what the issue was/is. You can fire from the B17 in pretty much all directions if that's what you mean.

And I wouldn't know about the stall sound either, although I'm sure I've read that it was listed as a fix. I tend to blackout long before I stall...

lol cool, and the turret problem is that NONE of the top turrets that should go 360* go anywhere outside the rear 180*

but cool, on the whole, sounds like they've done a good job.

screen tearing on PS3? None that I've seen. Granted i've only played this game post patch on ps3, so it seems this issue seems to have been addressed.
