Unlocking the B-17 Question

For the purposes of unlocking the B-17, does the Ju-87b count as a bomber? I think it's more of an attack aircraft myself, but don't know what the game con

siders it. It would be nice to work on the unlocks for it and be working towards the B-17 simultaniously.
