Default Special manouvers with a Flight stick

Hi,

I've got a Thrustmaster HOTAS X and i was wondering how to execute those special moves with it. Is it the same way as a regular pad,but translated to the appropriate buttons on the stick?

I can't even make a simple loop when i want to climb and try to get behind the bogey that's chasing me. (or isn't that possible at all?)

I sometimes do barrel rolls, but it feels more luck than wisdom and i can forget about immelmans..i've only managed to do it once in the game. I also try to do scissor rolls, but i never seem to end up where i want. (e.g behind the bandit that's having me for lunch!!)

Are there any specific conditions for these moves? (like plane speed, level etc etc). I'd really like to outmanouver my enemies, but it's kinda hard.

any tips? (especially from those who also fly with a stick)

Thanks in advance.

I have the T HOTAS and have been able to pull off barrel rolls (real barrel rolls), Immelmans, and Split-S's with little issue.

Outmanouvering enemies is very difficult not due to game controls but due to the fact that the bandit on your 6 can see all your moves and react accordingly (IMO).

Try practicing your moves with bombers. Get in front of one and try to loop in behind him. Pay attention to the altitude you have when starting and finishing the manouver.

I am by no means an expert in any of this but I am having fun learning.
