Bombers? Why?

Once we unlock the A-20, He-111, etc... what are we supposed to do with these planes? You obviously can't use them in multiplayer dogfights. There are also very few single player missions for the bombers. In the Training Mode, we can't setup a bombing mission either....

cant you use them in other multiplayer game modes... such as stike ?

I haven't been able to play any multiplayer. Do they have a "Strike" game mode where bombers would be useful? I wish they had a "Strike" mode for the Training game.....

They are for 'Strike' mode in Multiplayer. Both teams have to destroy the opponent's ground units while protecting their own.

In training mode you can turn AA guns to 'hostile' in order to have some ground targets to bomb. (Bombing is not the challenge using a bomber, reaching the target to do it is )

You can't do anything in Strike without one. Even with 500 lb'ers it takes a LOT of hits to take out a single bunker. Fighter/bombers just can't do it.

Not bad for Capture the Airfield too. Taking the strip with a bombers that's super durable AND gives you a rear gunner to cover yourself to hold the strip is pretty useful. I use an IL-2M for that, but a bomber would be good too. Remember, you have to land and wait to take the strip, so you can be down there a while and in the line of fire. Good idea to stick around in case the other team lands so they can't neutralize it and take it, giving time for a teammate to come take that guy out.

Exactly what i was going to say... but of course this games multiplayer is horribly set up

It's not horribly set up at all, it's the same as most console games. The problem is no one is hosting, hence the empty list. Other games work just fine using exactly the same system. The problem is a lack of people playing MP full stop. If you can't find a server then host one, problem solved.

Rubbish. The bombers are awesome in MP. I played a 20 minute dogfight match yesterday and wound up leading the room with 15 kills from the rear gunner. Other players think you are an easy target and just come up right behind you looking for a quick kill, then blam!! Too much fun.
