GEM editor AI problems

Hello,
I use gem editor to build massive custom battles, ive been having two issues as of late that for all the commentaries on youtube and the posts on here I cant figure out. When I build the map and start placing units I want to have the ai get into boats and then proceed to a waypoint. Unfortunately the ai unlike when I tell it to get into tanks or other stuff doesn't want to get into boats even when they are on land (which would prevent the boat from getting to the waypoint) how can I get the AI to board boats and get to a waypoint, also everyone is saying that if you click 1, 2, 3 etc on the number pad you can change which team you are playing, however that doesnt work for me, i put the teams on team 0 and team 1 and no matter what I can only play as team 1 how can I fix this? Somewhat related im playing MOW assault squad on a macbrook pro running windows through bootcamp

it depends on type of boat I believe, some have land_patch or whatever, does it occur for all boats? or are you talking the big ships.
