As no patch this weekend , I've decided to release this now.
This is designed for 1.07 beta patch As the thread title suggests, this campaign is based on the book 'Spitfire on my tail' by Ulrich Steinhilper and Peter Osbourne and i have tried to stick as closely to the book as possible- this is NOT a 'tons of combat in every mission' and the first part of the campaign is rather slow combat wise, mirroring Steinhilper's frustration at seeming to be in 'the wrong place at the wrong time'. There is however several missions where you will find more spits than is healthy ![]() ![]() Clouds and some bad weather are in some missions- but there are 'cloud free' versions if your rig really can't handle them. The campaign is 32 missions long and is part 1 of a 2 part campaign, starting with your transfer to Coquelles airfield and ending towards the end of September(for part 1). There is a quite long readme which you are highly encouraged to read. Briefings include waypoint information, maps and a 'tactical blackboard' which again you are highly encouraged to read. Skins are also included- based on Capt Farrel's work (butchered by me) and his permission to use them is highly appreciated ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (click to enlarge) download here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?bx2mgq0cu5u5480 have fun bolox |

S! Thanks for posting it!
Please add it to the http://airwarfare.com site too. They host files for free. It is good to have all campaigns in one place and easy to provide one link to them in a sig for instance. PS. BTW FMB section is not visited by users often. You may wish considering announcement of the campaign in the main forum section. Last edited by Ataros; 07-27-2012 at 03:29 PM. |

I will add this to airwarfare- but with 1.08(?) allegedly around the corner (and maybe an 'official' patch) I feel it's probably better to do this this way for the moment.
I started this in 1.05 and the 2 beta patches since have made significant differences in places requiring a fair bit of adjustment. In the meantime i can carry on with part2 ![]() |

Good to see your campaign release of 'Spitfire on my tail'. I am glad to see you successfully unravelling the mystries of the FMB and producing an excellent campaign.
I am holding off releasing my Ver.1.02 campaign of JG26 until the next upgrade (which hopefully is soon, Ilya and team?) I am very happy that the Bf109F will be released in the BOM. Hopefully this aircraft, with the help of a Spitfire V, Typhoon and Fw190 (Hint) will keep the Western Front going using the BOB map - more good campaigns Bolox? DFLion |

Good to see you are still around
![]() Holding off for next official patch might be a good idea- the changes in 1.06/7 have been 'interesting' (read quite alot of rewriting/tweaking missions ![]() 109f has always been one of my favourite AC so will be good to see it- will certainly make circuses/ramrods/rodeos a more interesting proposition.- hopefully GATTACK will be rewritten (it's pretty pants atm imho) Working radio aids and a better night visibility distance of 'fire' objects would make Blitz a viable option (and a properly working bombsight ![]() In the meantime I'll plod on with part2.... |

Excellent! This was a very good book, though I am interested to how you will model his early BOB days (where he sat around arguing about radios with galland, instead of fighting) without it being boring...
Thanks for the work! |
